Everything happens for a reason! I practice since some month with Nagaraj, he is a very good trainer and a very good trustworthy person. I like him a lot and organized for us and Pankaj to earn some money and get more experience, a Yoga retreat in Thailand, at Koh Chang, where my spiritual journey had his peak point. It was one of the best places I´ve visited. People are great, the beach, nature… all is perfect for a Yoga retreat. I hope we will get 10-15 participants. I do advertising now at fb and I created a website. It will be so nice to give our knowledge and the spirit to others for the first time in my life. I am super exited and trust in God that all work is going to be have a use. We took many pictures in SVYASA and we will go to Goa to take a video also. :) http://yogaretreatkohchang.com/ I am also now member in YSS and help for events to decorate in the Center here in Bangalore. Its nice, also the people. I go now always with Dr. Meenakshee, my Anatomy teacher from last semester. So nice all this experiance!

As a sense, it can be used in many different ways. It opens up our senses to patterns around us. It’s used by seers to make connections and answer questions. It’s used by energy workers to feel the energy and then manipulate that energy. It’s part of empathy where a person can touch and feel the emotions of others. Many other applications exist for how people have used it. It is possible to use the Third Eye to learn how to sense and visually interpret energy around us. This helps people work with the process of Motion, Activity and Interchange more easily and completely. Energy instead of being abstract concept then becomes a tangible property of life to work with once people learn how to sense it and interact with it. Some facts about the Third Eye: Location: At the base of the skull, at the medulla oblongata. Its location at the front of the head is between the eyebrows. Color: Indigo. A combination of blue and red. Tone: OM (O represents the Sun or the Third Eye) (M represents the Moon or medulla.) Element: Electrical or telepathic energy. Sense: Thought. Deficient energy: Non assertive, undisciplined, oversensitive to the feelings of others, afraid of success, schizophrenic (unable to distinguish between Ego self and Higher self). Excessive energy: Egomaniac, proud, manipulative, religiously dogmatic, authoritarian. Balanced energy: Charismatic, can receive guidance, not attached to material things, no fear of death, master of yourself, sexual energy-you no longer need another person to complete yourself. Gems/Minerals: Lapis lazuli azurite, sodality, quartz crystal, sapphire. Glands and organs influenced by the sixth chakra: Pineal, pituitary, brain, eyes, ears, nose. Illness: Confusion, mental illness, bad eyesight, lack of clarity, psychic exhaustion. The Third Eye is non-functioning, it cannot see unless physical eyes become unseeing. It needs energy to function and same energy has to be redirected. A region of the head that psychic information and dream stuff uses as a mechanism to alert conscious mind it is there it be perceived, It consists of the Pineal Gland. When we see through physical eyes, we can see through physical body. Third Eye is not part of physical body, but subtle body. That’s why physiology cannot believe that there is an existence of Third Eye. With this eye functioning, we can enter a different dimension and see things which are invisible to the physical eye but visible to the subtle eye. What a beautiful experiance! 4 month of arogyadhama practice semester in S-VYASA Bangalore finished today. 4 month of experiences in 8 different sections for IAYT (integrated approach yoga therapy). I am very grateful for this experience! I learned how yoga is not only for the healthy youngsters good, but also how it helps the elderly, sick and handicapt people at all existence levels. At the physical level it release subtle tensions, stiffness, increase flexibillity, at the energy level it balance the pranic (life-) energy, eradicate stress and balance the flow of breath and brings self knowledge, calmness, happiness and self confidence at the mind level. I love yoga in all his facets of divisions! ^_^ What a gorgeous gift for everybody! Now I am ready to go deeper into practice to become a good teacher! ... Inshalla!
The Creator has only one possibility to learn about himself. He has to create. In order to get to know about himself, he created us and gave us the same power as he has as a whole. This is what the religions mean when they say that we were created in the image of God. It does not mean we look the same in physical terms. Although God can take every physical form he chooses for a particular purpose. It means that our essence is the same. We have the same characteristics and abilities. Therefore, the goal in our existence is that we recognize ourselves as creators. We have to go through different experiences to create enough different parts of ourself, that we can experience ourself. This sounds maybe at first easy, but is very complex, since we have to recognize ourselves as "not creator". This can only succeed if we are still, not distracted from the outside world and our senses. We can listen in our self only through meditation, remember who we are and experience it to make these true experiences of self-realization. (Light can be only recognized if it appears in the dark.) today I didn`t feel well, I spend my time mostly in my room with reading, meditating and thinking about life. First of all, I believe there are many good Guru`s. You may find your Guru through spiritual courses or Books. Anyway... Somehow I was during my evening meditation thinking about Paramahamsaji`s book, Autobiography of a Yogi. After this book, I was reading "The art of living" from him. Because of this book only, I thought when I was at the Yoga festival and saw the Art of livng stand and thought it is from him only a community or so. :-D Aaaand because of this "Co-exidence only I spoke to this people and gave only my mail adress and won the AOL Happieness course. My thought was, that Guruji maybe is connected to AOL and opened me the way for learning more and getting a living Guru with SriSri too. Maybe he was it only, who has lead me to AOL. Of course I put also some effort to go the Yoga festival, the AOL course I won, etc. but that they postpone the time 1 week and this was exactly when I was thinking I cant go because I had a special Guest, this was the time when Swami Mukhtanand Puri was there (he stayed during the time when the course should happened in my home) but he left one week later and than I could go. :) These accidents happened so often and are not only accidently. I love to remember this all, it helps me still to understand always slowly a little more and more. I try to meditate every day and my intuition becomes better, I can give my own answer, solutions to difficulties come somehow to me mostly. Often I feel what is right to do and who is a good person etc. ... I think it is because of meditation and going the right path. ^_^ Maybe you have similar experiance, let me know please! ;-) There is something, someone which is greater than anything we can imagine... I feel so grateful, thank you for all this wonders, life is a beautiful wonder when we go the spiritual path and awake. May everybody be blessed with open eyes and may all see the reasons behind our karma in life and get the chance to work on it (sin imprints), may I and everybody learn from every active or passive action. :o) Thank you also for this nice Meditation Clip! (Made from another great Kundalini Teacher, where i did some courses here in Bangalore, you can check also his other great clips!)
What a pitty this is in a Yoga University & Ashram, where people should feel actually bliss and peace. But here they try to be very hard and give a lot of rules to try to control the students, wich don`t really work out. It creates a kind of negative energy around the campus. Nothing is propper here... It is a good example of "AYOGA" - what Yoga is NOT... But still I appreciate that to study here, because there is so much to learn, also about Indians and especially about myself. ... :) I went to Kerala by Bus. It was not a easy journey. The "Satellite Busstand" was totaly wrong placed in googlemaps, so the Taxi driver went first wrong with me. At the first Busstand I searched my Bus, than someone told me that I am wrong here. Luckily my Cap-driver came back as I called and after asking around all 100m "Sattelite Busstand" after 1hour we finally reached the correct Busstand and I didn`t miss the Bus. I was the only foreighner in the Bus and all the people stared at me. Not very nice feeling. Finally I met Jay, his family and some friends in Kerala. Jay came to pick me up after I walked some 20 min in a unknown direction, because he didn`t know where the Bus will stop. Good we have a phone with internet! But it was strange for me. To see him after 3 month it was like I am going to meet a distance friend, a little reserved. He gave a little hug and said hello to me, thats it... mhm... also the goodby after this week was not different. In India it is not typical to show emotions at the street. I think I will never get used to it... But his family was very nice and welcoming, we spend two days in the Hills in a House we rent, where we could see a lot of Tea plantation and Coconut trees. I could practise some Yoga and teach also and we went all together to see Pookot Lake and Banasura Hill. The Lake is very small and because of the raining time we saw many leeches. I would not recomment this place. But to see Banasura Hill is nice, only the maintainance of the Aquarium and plants there is not good. The fishes are all sick and swim in dirty yellow-brown water, some places they closed because of less maintainance. And again I realized that the place and Nature in India is magical, beautiful, perfect, but the people... Many don`t care... Yoga is originated from India, but is is universal and don`t belong anymore only to India. People went far away from Yoga here. I hope it will come back! In ancient time I guess Indians are completely different. Now I don`t see much about what is left of the Vedic Wisdom in this "modern" India. Maybe that is all part of the way to the truth and exactly what I have to experiance. Everything I thought is changing. It began with my close friends, family, City, Countries... Its like a new little stone is set for the fundament of knowleadge. My path in India will be long, I feel that I just began this journey . :o) Here are some Pictures of Arogyadhama (Yoga theraphy Center), Campus life and some impressions of the places in Kerala: KERALA: I am receiving the Letters of YSS (SRF, Paramahansa Yogananda) and Today I opened the letters and read exactly what I needed today. "Do not poison peace by anger" ... I did a mistake here and received the consequences... Small small lessons God is giving to me to learn and to develop a natural better consciousness and character. I was feeling sad and angry about myself and others because of my mistake, but after reading the letter I learned it was actually good to try and use my new knowledge practicaly. Here I came to learn and develop myself, so all mistakes I do and learn are good for the future. These are also lessons to learn, for example Controlling Emotions. For example to learn how to deny negative feelings, to get freedom from sorrow. True Wisdom we get in the battlefield of life, Discipline wich we acquire and impose on our own. Others can show us the way, but we have to go the way to reach our aim. The same with our Emotions, we are the only one who can make ourself happy or sad at the end. So I am learning now how to deny negativ emotions and charge myself more and more in daily life and meditation with positive emotion and thoughts. Sometimes it is enough to see the beauty of nature. ^_^ What is DSN? DSN translates to "Don`t say No", "Do Something Now", "Divya Samaaj ka Nirmaan" meaning working towards a divine society. DSN is a powerful personal development course. It is a rigorous and transformational course that empowers participants to break through personal inhibitions and barriers and access inner stability and power. We each have a deep desire to be the best we can be - for ourselves, our families, our communities and even our world - but many of us have personal barriers, old habits, or inhibitions that hold us back and keep us from fully participating in life. Old emotional wounds, self-concepts, attitudes, and fears can also be obstacles to living the life we really want. DSN uses a powerful combination of yoga, padmasadhana group processes, and deep spiritual knowledge to break through personal barriers and create personal empowerment. This four day course is open to all those who have completed the Art of Living Part I Course. It was awesome to be there and I feel blessed I get so many opportunities to learn so much! Jay Guru Dev! What is reality for you, what is reality for an Ant? Why God Permits Evil and How to Rise Above It?9/7/2016 *Some say that God (or consciousness) doesn't know evil, because they can't explain why a God who is good allows robberies, murders, disease, poverty, and other terrible happenings that are going on constantly on this earth. And yet, I learned that evil provides the contrast that enables us to recognize and experience goodness. Evil had to be if there was to be any creation? Paramahamsa Yogananda says "If you wrote a message with white chalk on a white board, no one would see it." I had a short discussion with Hanan and thought about it. Her point of few is that God should permit evil and suffering in the world and let everybody and everything in creation just be happy and good hearted. It is of course a very kind and innocent thought, we all would wish this but why is it not so for us when we all wish this? Everybody actually want happiness and peace. The problem I see here, is our Ego. Dear Hanan, I write this because you inspired me to think and elaborate about this theme. I remember you told me, our real self (Atman) is a creater but different from God. If you could, you would create a different reality. You can do it actualy! :o) I have learned that our Reality is nothing else - than our thoughts and all what we experiance with our sense organs. I will just elaborate a little more about our body functions and the relation to the 5 Elements: We can see only through our eyes, wich is a process inside our body, not outside, just different waves of light enter our body, our eyes and become than decoded in our brain. That is why also People have a different feeling for colors and beauty etc. The sense of touch, cold and hot, our taste and smell is only a process inside our body.Just as sound is the perception of changes in air pressure and sight the perception of light, tastes and smells are the perception of chemicals in the air or in our food. Separate senses with their own receptor organs, taste and smell are nonetheless intimately entwined. This close relationship is most apparent in how we perceive the flavors of food. As anyone with a head cold can attest, food “tastes” different when the sense of smell is impaired. Actually, what is really being affected is the flavor of the food, or the combination of taste and smell. That’s because only the taste, not the food odors, are being detected. So here already our reality begins to seperate from eachother. We don`t like all the same things! ... In Ayurveda, it is said that components & functioning of the nature is similar to our body components and its functions. Pancha Mahabhuta theory states that everything in the physical creation is composed of these 5 elements. The very first element that comes to existence is akash (Ether). It is most expansive and least concreate of all. The next element derived is Vayu (Air) then comes Agni (Fire), then Jala (water) element is formed and lastly Prithvi (earth) element is formed. At the end, all is the same and made out of Atoms, just in a different vibration. So, what is sound? It is vibration. But we can not always feel or see it, still it is there. We can see sound vibrations in Water or sand for example... So what is an atom? It is the smallest constituent unit of ordinary matter that has the properties of a chemical element. Every solid, liquid, gas, and plasma is composed of neutral or ionized atoms. That leads me know to look to the Vedanta Philosophy. Because I also learned that everything is sound. So everything is Atom, Neuron, electron... everything is Vibration, is sound... is Brahman. There are many Storys with the same meaning (just different Vessels to put the story inside, like they used the word Vishnu for God sometimes...) It says: "God exhales and inhales and with each breath a Brahma is born. The source of all vibration is the word of God. " https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hindu_cycle_of_the_universe According to Hindu Philosophy, the universe (or Multiverse) had no origin, but always has been and always will be, but is perpetually in flux. Space and time are of cyclical nature. This universe is simply the current one, which is in flux and constantly changing, when it finally ceases to manifest, a new one will arise. This concept is also accepted by Buddhist DharmaIn a number of stories from the Puranas the continual creation and destruction of the universe is equated to the outwards and inwards breaths of the gigantic cosmic Maha Vishnu (God). Brahman is discussed in Hindu texts with the concept of Atman (Soul, Self). He is created by God to help to create our world. In dualistic schools of Hinduism such as the theistic Dvaita Vedanta, Brahman is different from Atman (soul) in each being, and therein it shares conceptual framework of God in major world religions In non-dual schools of Hinduism such as the monist Advaita Vedanta, Brahman is identical to the Atman, Brahman is everywhere and inside each living being, and there is connected spiritual oneness in all existence. The most famous quote by Shankara from Vivekachudamani ('The Crest Jewel of Discrimination'): Brahman is the only truth, the world is unreal, and there is ultimately no difference between Brahman and Atman, individual self. (Brahma satyam jagat mithya, jivo brahmaiva naparah) In describing Brahman as omnipresent, all-pervading, unlimited, infinitely great and infinitely small, the Upanishads only point out that It is absolutely spaceless. That which cannot be expressed by speech, but by which speech is expressed—That alone know as Brahman and not that which people here worship. That which cannot be apprehended by the mind, but by which, they say, the mind is apprehended—That alone know as Brahman and not that which people here worship. That which cannot be perceived by the eye, but by which the eye is perceived—That alone know as Brahman and not that which people here worship. That which cannot he heard by the ear, but by which the hearing is perceived—That alone know as Brahman and not that which people here worship. (Kena Up. 1.5-8) Every creature got some "superpower". Birds can fly and fishes can breath under water etc. ... But we humans got the greatest. We are creative and we got the free Will. We are similar to the creator, we are a creator. But we act like our mind is telling us. We choose to behave what we feel is right or good for us. It is not God who is responsible for the suffering in the world, it is us who create Happines and Pain. If we would not feel individual and we would care all eachother like a mother cares about her baby, we could live all in wonderful conditions, full of love, peace and happynes. We can create this environment. But it is not easy, because we have our Ego, we have a huge feeling of "mine and me". Thats why in Yoga we try to "remove" our body and worldly things, slowly with meditation techniques, to realize and experiance our true self. Sri Paramahamsa Yogananda wrote wonderfull about our existence.: There is another angle about duality, or good and evil that I want to explain to you. If a movie producer made movies only of angels (of only goodness), and showed them in the movie theatres morning, noon, and night everyday, he would soon have to close up his business. He (the producer) has to produce variety in orderto attract people's attention. The bad man makes the hero look so much better! And we like plots that are filled with action. We don't mind looking at exciting movies about danger and disaster, because we know they are only movies (a mere appearance on a screen). If you could see what is going on behind the screen of this life, you wouldn't suffer at all. Life is a cosmic movie (projected within the screen of consciousness). I look at the beam of God's light, which is projecting these scenes on the screen of life (consciousness). I see the pictures of the whole universe coming from this beam. Another time I was sitting in a movie theatre watching a movie on a screen. And then I looked into the projection booth. I saw that the projectionist was not interested in the movie, because he has seen it over and over again. Instead, he was reading a book. The projector was doing its job: there was the sound, and the beam of light was casting realistic images on the screen. And there was the audience caught up in the drama. From age to age, from civilization to civilization, the same old movies are shown over and over again, only with different characters playing the parts. When I took my gaze from the light of the projector and looked at the audience in the movie theatre, I saw that they were going through all the emotions of the actors in the movie. They were suffering with the hero, and reacting to the evil of the villain. To the audience it was a tragic experience. To the operator in the projection booth, it was only a movie! And so it is with God. He has created (imagined) movies of light and shadows, the hero and the villain, good and evil, and we are the audience and the actors. It is only because we identify with the play too much (as being real) that we are in trouble. Without shadows as well as light (contrasts) there could be no picture. Evil is the shadow that converts the one beam of God's light into pictures or forms. Therefore, evil (contrasting with good) is the shadow of God that makes this play possible. The dark shadows of evil are mixed with the pure white beam of the virtues of God. He wants you not to take these pictures so seriously. The director of the movie sees the murders and the suffering and the comedy and the drama as means to create interest for the audience. He stands apart from the play and directs and observes it. God wants us to behave with detachment realizing we are only actors or observers in his cosmic movie. The way to supreme happiness will not be found by the scientist nor by material-minded people, but by those who follow the masters who say "Go back to the booth of the infinite (awareness) from which you can see the projection of all these cosmic movies. Then you won't be troubled about God's creation, God's play." Because you are a part of it now (identify with it as being real), you suffer. You must stand aside and watch (witness) it, and then you cannot suffer. When you are an observer, then you can enjoy this play. This is what you must learn. To God, this (life) is only a movie, and when you turn to him (consciousness), it will also be a movie to you. Since God is perfect and this world is not a necessity for his evolution, it is therefore a sort of hobby (play) of God. For example there are two kinds of artists: one type is the commercial artist who makes art pay; and the other type is one who creates art with no market value, simply for the personal enjoyment of it. Now we can't think of God as commercial, for he has nothing to gain from his art of creation. So this world is God's hobby (play). But it is not any fun for those who are suffering in it. Because your eyes are closed (and you believe the world to be real), you cannot help thinking this world is terrible. But if you keep open your eyes of wisdom and calmness (and realize it is an appearance), you will see there is a lot of enjoyment in this world - just as though you are watching a movie. There is so much more to life than what you think. Since everything worldly seems so real, how much more so must be the reality (consciousness) that creates this unreal reality (of the world appearance)! But the unreal reality makes you forget the real. God wants you to remember that you wouldn't mind this world if it were like a movie. Even if the brittle bones of the body break, you would say "Well look at those broken bones", and not feel any disturbance or suffering. You could say that when you are anchored in consciousness. You will make fun of your habits, and you will be intensely amused at your distinguishing characteristics, as from the balcony of introspection watch yourself perform in the movie of life. When you know this world to be God's Lila - his play - then you aren't upset by the contrasts in this drama of good and evil. In a dream you behold rich people, poor people, someone strong, someone else groaning with disease, someone dying, and someone being born. But when you wake up, you realize that it was only a dream. This universe is God's dream. When you are neither touched by the nightmares of disease and suffering and worries, nor bound by the beautiful dreams, then God says "Wake up now! Come back home." Mystics are those who are half awake and half dreaming: on one side awake in God, and on the other side dreaming the dream of incarnation. But they can quickly get out of this dream. So remember, God is dreaming this world. And if we are in tune with him, we will live a divinely intoxicating life and nothing will disturb us. We will watch this cosmic movie as we watch films in a movie theatre, without being hurt. God created (imagined) us that we may dream as he does, enjoying this dream and all its contrasting experiences, as an entertainment, without being affected by it, absorbed in his eternal joy. Ones values are profoundly changed when one is finally convinced that creation is only a vast movie and that not in it, but beyond it, lies ones own reality (consciousness). The rishis of ancient India, having penetrated to the original cause of being (consciousness), declare that God is perfect (complete); that he needs nothing, for all is contained within himself; and that this world is God's Lila (divine play). The Lord (consciousness), it seems, like a little child, loves to play, and his Lila is the endless variety of ever-changing creation. I used to reason in this way: God was infinite, omniscient bliss, but being alone there was no one but him to enjoy that bliss. So he said "Let me create (imagine) a universe and (appear to) divide myself into many souls that they may play with me in my unfolding drama". By his magical measuring power of Maya, he became dual; spirit and nature, man and woman, positive and negative. But even though he has created (imagined) the universe out of delusion, he himself is not deluded by it. He knows that everything is but an (imagined) diversification of his one consciousness. Experiences of the senses and emotions, the dramas of war and peace, sickness and health, life and death - all are happening in God as the dreamer of all things - but he is unaffected by them. One part of his infinite being forever remains transcendent beyond vibratory (imagined) dualities: there God is inactive. When he vibrates (imagines) his consciousness with thoughts of diversity, he becomes (appears) immanent and omnipresent as the creator in the finite vibratory realm of infinity: there he is active. Vibration (imagination) brings forth (appearances of) objects and beings interacting in space in the motions of time - just as vibrations (the imagination) of man's consciousness brings forth dreams in sleep. We can say that God should never have created this world in which there is so much trouble. But on the other hand, mystics say that if you knew you were Gods, you wouldn't mind it. If you watch a movie, you like a lot of action rather than something dull, don't you? That is the way you should enjoy this world. Look upon life as a movie and then you will know why God created (imagined) it. Our problem is that we forget to see it as God's entertainment (the play of consciousness). When we have finished seeing the movie, we know that nobody was killed; nobody was suffering. In fact, that truth is the only answer I see when I look at the drama of life. It is nothing but an electrical-shadow-show, a play of light and shadows. Everything is the vibration (imagination) of God's consciousness condensed into (an appearance of) images. The essence of those images cannot be severed by a sword, nor burned, nor drowned, nor suffer pain of any sort. It (consciousness) is not born, nor does it die. It only (appears to) pass through a few changes. Just as when you are half awake and can see a dream, and know you are dreaming, and yet are apart from it, that is how God feels this universe. On one side he is awake, and on another side he is dreaming this universe. And that is how you should look upon this world. Then you will know why he created it, and will not ascribe these dream conditions to your soul. If you pass through a nightmare, you know that is no more than a bad dream. If you can live in the world in that consciousness, you will not suffer. You won't mind then, because you will know you are dreaming. Do not pay undue attention to the passing scenes of life. You are the immortal self (consciousness) living only temporarily in a dream that is sometimes (imagined) to be a nightmare. That is the higher philosophy (and truth) of the mystics. Do not be so sensitive. Emotional sensitivity is the silent cause of all suffering. To give strength to creation as a reality by emotional involvement in it is foolishness! To not sit still and realize your true soul nature, but to drift along as a part of the eternal motion of (imagined) creation is a constant danger to your happiness. Perhaps someday your body will be terribly sick, and though you want to walk or do other things that you used to do in your younger or healthier days, you find you cannot do them; it is a terrible disillusionment for the soul. Before that day comes, make yourself so free, that you can look upon your body with detachment, caring for it as though it were someone else's. Be like the active-inactive Lord. In creation he is joyously busy; beyond creation he is joyously quiescent (still) in divine bliss. Be calmly active and actively calm. When you think about your mortal life and all your troubles and identify with them, you do an injustice to the consciousness of God within you. Affirm and realize "I am not a mortal being; I am spirit." Everywhere you will see people, good and evil, searching in their own way for happiness. No one wants to hurt himself. Sins are errors committed under the influence of ignorance, or delusion. But for a different degree of understanding, you might be in the same boat. The point is, in everything we do we are seeking happiness. No one can truthfully say he is a materialist, because anyone who is seeking happiness is seeking God. Therefore, in evil as well as in good God is coaxing us back to him by our search for happiness. The greatest sin is ignorance - not to know what life is all about. And the greatest virtue is wisdom - to the know the meaning and purpose of life and it's creator (consciousness). To know that we are not little human beings, but that we are one with consciousness is wisdom. Every night in deep sleep God takes away all your troubles to show you that you are not a mortal being; you are spirit. When there is health and joy, smile in the dream. When there is a nightmare or sickness or sorrow, say, "I am awake in God, merely watching the play of my life". Dismiss this world appearance of disease and health, sorrow and joy. Rise above it. Become the Self (consciousness). Watch (witness) the show of the universe, but do not become absorbed (attached) in it. Death and darkness cannot cast fear upon us, for we are the very consciousness out of which this universe has been created (imagined) by God (consciousness). So do not be afraid of anything (since life is a dream - only an appearance in consciousness alone). __________________________________________________________________________________________ * The above excerpts are from Why God Permits Evil and How to Rise Above It by Paramahansa Yogananda http://www.theself.com/lifeisadream_yogananda.cfm When Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramahansa Yogananda first appeared in 1946, it was acclaimed as a landmark work in its field. The New York Times hailed it as "a rare account." Newsweek pronounced it "fascinating." The San Francisco Chronicle declared, "Yogananda presents a convincing case for yoga, and those who 'came to scoff' may remain 'to pray.'" Today it is still one of the most widely read and respected books ever published on the wisdom of the East. "There has been nothing before, written in English or in any other European language, like this presentation of Yoga."" Columbia University Press. Autobiography of a Yogi is at once a delightful account of an exceptional life and a profound introduction to the ancient science of Yoga and its tradition of meditation. Clearly explaining the subtle but definite laws behind the natural events of everyday life as well as the extraordinary events considered miraculous, the author reveals the scientific foundation underlying the great religious paths of both East and West. His absorbing life story thus becomes the background for a penetrating and unforgettable look at the ultimate mysteries of human existence. Considered a modern spiritual classic, this book has been translated into eighteen languages and is used as a text and reference work in numerous colleges and universities. A perennial bestseller since it was first published fifty years ago, Autobiography of a Yogi has found its way into the hearts of millions of readers around the world. Namaskar! I am so glad I came now! Here is a special YIC (yoga instructor course) going on, sponsored by the indian government. The Priminister of India is a disciple of our Guruji Dr. Nagendra and will help to spread Yoga all over the World. We have now people from 40 different countries here, from all over the world. Europeans, Africans, Asiens, Americans, Arabs ... It is so interesting to talk to them and see us all together in peace with the same interest in Yoga and that most of them also came by the same spirit wich brought me here. Its so touching to hear this stories of them, how Yoga came in their live and how they came here and how much it also spreads mostly in their country. My heart is full of bliss and happiness to see that we can be all in love and peace together... here is no difference to see now because of our coulture or believe... we are just all humans with the same goal of happiness and selfrealization. Only now I feel this spirit here at the campus. I really enjoy this time, also when I can see them mostly only in food time. I met a very nice Yogini and Professor from Syria, Hanan. She suprised me because she told me in her pont of few, Syria people are more and more leaving the muslimic belief there and become spiritual truth searchers. Yoga is spreading in the muslimic world... wow... If it is so, there is so much hope for Syria of freedom. Today I went for one hour after breakfast to her room and we taled about many things. Also she told me her story how she got some glimpse of self realisation. She already fellt a lot of bliss inside and she is aware about it, how and why she got it. I fellt very touched by her story, because I believe what she say, sometimes I feel similar what she told. Its a very deep feeling of happiness and trust, maybe I can call it bliss... I am not so sure about it. It is difficult sometimes to find a corect word for a feeling. Thats why we can only experiance Yoga, but not explain so much that others understand from outside. Her husband left her, because he thought she has become mad when she told him about her spiritual experiance. She is writing a blog and will now write a book about her experiance. On her blog she teaches also Something about islam, so that they think more about the peace in the Quran: "Spreading awakening in education". People who don`t try to find the truth can`t understand our thoughts and what we experiance. How could they? ... So it is also important we have a partner who is supporting us in what we do. She mentioned also something what I deeply inside believe, that I am maybe not here for the course, but for the people and conections here. Yes, somehow it was my fate to come here and I am open for everything, but without following anything blindly. Hanan say that she think that I can be a Jnana Yogi (Jnana = Knowleadge) ... First I go across all the ways and experiance different paths. I am only at the beginning on my spiritual journey and I am sure I will finally find and discover my way. Jnana Yoga could be my path, I really devour spiritual books and all the live experiance and spiritual experiance I make, I always get some self knowledge from everywhere. Although my journey is still at the beginning, I am happy I can share some of my thoughts and experiance. I hope I could inspire you already to trust in yourself and to go your own way of self realization. Om tat sat |
